The Schneeberger winery
Perfectionism from
nature
Fruity.
Fresh. Styrian.
Helping the grapes ripen to preserve their full aroma is a crucial criterion for a successful wine. Our press house is equipped with the latest technology and guarantees careful handling of the wine. The noble wines are matured in stainless steel, in large wooden barrels and in barriques. For us, the origin and the respective variety must be clearly recognisable on the palate. Our many awards confirm that we’re on a good path.

„Life is far too short to drink bad wine.“
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
The height of
wine growing culture
Among other wines, Schneeberger produces a wonderful Sauvignon as a vineyard cuvée in Sausal, the oldest documented wine-growing region in Styria. The soils are mostly barren and steep, and the wine takes more time here than elsewhere. The Kittenberg and Flamberg vineyards offer very different soil conditions, altitudes and weather conditions ranging from the dominant slate soil to sand and shell limestone. A strong factor in Sausal are the large temperature differences in late summer and autumn, which have a very beneficial effect on aroma formation..
